by Nosferatu inwhenever people look at my cd collection, they'll come across blue oyster cult, black sabbath, iron maiden, led zeppelin, etc.
but then they'll come across something unusual.. right now i'm listening to "kenny rogers - ten years of gold".
my parents had this album, and i loved it.

Jes, I remember them all and have most of them on vinyl.
I saw Sabbath in '90 at a small venue in Cornwall and went to sleep in a snakebite fuelled haze during a Cozy Powell dum solo, and a couple of years later I saw Ugly Kid Joe play at a club in Plymouth, excellant! Bonjovi toured here 2 or 3 years ago and I caught one of their gigs which was cheesy but they played all the old stuff which got alol us late 20's/early 30's crowd going.
My live music pinnacle though has to be in June 03 when I spent a magical 5 days at <a href="www.glastonbury-festivals.co.uk"> Glastonbury festival </a> and saw REM (Micheal Stipe looks old a not very well but was awesome), David Gray and Moby, who was surprisingly good.

he then told me that he would knock on my door bright and early in the morning to take me to breakfast with him and his wife.
a couple of them told they enjoy the articles i write in the art magazines and they were really happy to meet me.

it's not the fornication that's ever the problem, it's the baggage that can go with it. If you are uptight and prone to guilt then it can be destructive, but it's not the sex that's the problem, it's what's going on inside your head.
Diseases and unwanted pregnancy can happen just as readily in a marraige, the licence protects you from nothing

by Frannie Banannie insince you left, faded, da'd, df'd from the wts, you have most likely been called or labelled an "apostate" by wts members, including even your own fam members..... .
this is not true.....you only left, faded, da'd or were df'd from an organization of apostates who don't even realize that while their lips "make nice with god or jehovah", their actions of haughtiness, hatefulness toward others and denial of mercy toward those in need of it, belie their claim of being jehovah's or god's people.. .
don't make me get the gun!

Sleeping on your back
by seattleniceguy ini was raised a witness, so from an early age i got into the habit of bowing my head to pray.
the idea was that to look up would be disrespectful.
of course, it soon struck me that when praying in bed, you're brazenly staring straight up at god, so i started rolling onto my side to pray.

forty, this raises an interesting question. I am sure alot of the mental health problems JW's have are down to the guilt caused by believing that some spirit can see them when they are knocking one out or misbehaving.

What are the WTBTS's biggest lies?
by outbutnotdown ini've been out for about 10 years and, to be honest, i have begun to worry less and less about what that org.
but in eman's recent post, "you have one shot", sirona mentioned about all the lies that the wtbts have told.
i have read c of c, but my memory is fading on what some of the more blatant lies that i recall from that book and other articles.. just in case i have an encounter with a jw who may actually be considering leaving but wants more support/reasons to leave, can people help me by refreshing my memeory on the biggest lies that they have told, that would catch their attention the quickest?

I snore like a jack hammer if I sleep on my back, coupled with the fact that sleeping on my back gives both of our cats the opportunity to sit on my chest and play 'It must be time for breakfast so let's bop daddy on the nose' at 4am
Lady Lee, when I am away our cats either sleep in my spot of the bed or else snuggle up to my wife, especially if she is not well. I am sure the little things know when things aren't right
